When adding your personal details and ideas you have a public option. As a result all details automatically go on to the website as private and it is the users’ prerogative how much or little information is viewed publicly. Please note that this is a public website, and all users should be careful about what information they place on the internet.
2. Do any third parties have access to my personal information?
Any third parties who have access to your personal information have to sign a thorough confidentiality agreement, which prevents the third party from using any personal information indiscriminately.
3. What happens if someone steals my idea?
lovemyidea are not liable for any ideas that are stolen by other users as we offer a private option for all information. When submitting an idea the user can choose to set the idea as 'private'. You can then grant access to the full idea description to selected members once you have added them as contacts. Contacts are added on the contacts page of your profile.
4. Is my idea protected?
Users have the ability to protect their own ideas, with the private& public option they have available to them.
5. How do I set my profile to private?
Users are able to set all personal information & ideas to private, so that only users that they have approved can access the information in their profile.
6. Someone on lovemyidea is bugging/harassing/threatening me - what can I do about it?
When users encounter this type of situation, lovemyidea’s advice to any users would be to simply ignore them. There are certain precautions you can take yourself, delete the person from your contact list,delete any comments left on your ideas, block the user and under all circumstances do not respond to anything they post to you or to others about you. If the situation persists, report it to the lovemyidea team at privacy .
7. I think someone compromised my account. I can't login and things look different.
In this situation, firstly retrieve the password for your account through the Password Retrieval Option, Forgotten Your Password? Click here. Acquire your password from your external inbox and then log into your account, you can then change the password to your account in My Profile, to whatever you like. IMPORTANT: Never have the same password for your lovemyidea account and your external email account.
Secondly have a look at your account and evaluate why your profile looks different. Are there any comments on your ideas by other users which would make you query who may have sabotaged your profile / ideas?
If users still can’t access their password from their external email account, they will have to flag up the problem to lovemyidea. This will enable users to verify that they are the owner of the account.
8. Is lovemyidea free?
Yes! All functions & features you currently see on the site are FREE . lovemyidea may add paid Premium Services in the future,but all the functions & features you have currently been enjoying on lovemyidea will always remain FREE & that’s a promise!
9. Where do I report underage users?
In order to join lovemyidea users must be at least 14 years old, as per the Terms and Conditions . If lovemyidea suspects that a user is under 14 years of age, their profile will be deleted and membership terminated without warning. If a user wants to report an underage user, they can contact lovemyidea with the URL and we will remove it.
10. Where do I report spammers?
To report spammers, contact lovemyidea with the URL to the profile of a spammer, and details of how you were spammed.
11. Where do I report inappropriate content?
Reporting inappropriate content is essential in keeping lovemyidea a nice place to be. Go to the bottom of the web page on your profile and click on the link Report Inappropriate Content
12. How do I report a fake lovemyidea login page?
When reporting a fake login page pleasecontact lovemyidea. Please ensure to include the web address the site inquestion. lovemyidea can then work in getting the site removed. If you enteredin your login information on the fake site, please change your password and/oremail address.

15. I can't log in to my account - what can I do?
If you encounter problems logging on to your account, the first thing you need to do is verify that you are logging in with the correct password and username. lovemyidea recommends that you check your profile still exists by finding your profile on the site. Also, look for comments you posted on your contacts' profiles. If you cannot find your profile, it may have been deleted. lovemyidea will delete profiles and terminate memberships without warning if the lovemyidea T&Cs are violated. Users cannot retrieve a deleted account. However, you can contact lovemydea about it.
16. I have forgotten my password - what can I do?
Users can retrieve their password by clicking on Forgotten Your Password? Click here. on the login page and following the instructions. You will need to enter the email address that we have on file for your account. We'll then email your password to that address.
17. How do I change my password?
Click on the “Change your password” option in MyProfile. Enter your old password, your new password, confirm your new password and click “Change Password”. You can now log in using your new password.
18. How do I change personal information
Users can change their personal information in their MyProfile by clicking on “Edit your profile” adding or changing personal details and them clicking on “Update”.
